The Team

Russell Buxton

I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember and spent my child hood in and out of a swimming pool, I’m a real water baby.

I swam for my school in competitions since I was 10 years old and then on to the County Club were I swam in loads of fun Competitions.

When I went to teach my daughter to swim the leisure centre Manager was watching and he told me I should go on a teaching course because he thought I would do well. I was lucky because he said if I would come and work for them they would pay for the courses and I’ve never look back since.

I soon completed my ASA and STA teaching courses and several Advances teaching qualifications including Adult and Child and Special Needs. I became interested in life saving and became a life guard and also finished my Trainer Assessor course shortly after. I look forward to running my own swimming School and I’m all ways looking for a new challenge like my underwater photography.
